Artemis Birthing Services
Hello, my name is Aiya CD(DONA), LCCE
I have wanted to be in the birthing industry since I was a young teenager. I wanted to be a Midwife for many years until I learned more about it and discovered it wasn't quite what I was looking for. When I learned about Doulas, I couldn't believe it! It was as if the job had been written out just for me, and I instantly started in my pursuit of education.
I am trained by DONA International ( https://www.dona.org/ ). I am trained in Pregnancy and Birth care, as well as Postpartum and Breast/ Chestfeeding support, and Spinning Babies® techniques (https://www.spinningbabies.com/).
I am currently based in Auckland, New Zealand. I frequently travel around the Auckland Region and am extremely flexible.
I chose my name because Artemis is the Greek Goddess of the Moon, Childbirth and Nature. She is the daughter of Leto and Zeus; Artemis was born first, and she then helped her Mother give birth to her twin brother, Apollo. Artemis was the first Doula, bringing empowerment and support to all birthing people. Not only is she powerful, but she is inspiring and holds a special place in my heart. I plan on using my training and education to provide unconditional care and support for every birthing person and their family.
